8 Things to Prepare Before Requesting a Quote
The more complete your inquiry, the faster and more accurate your quote. You do not need perfect drawings — a sketch or even a photo of the site is enough for our engineers to start.
Height & Levels
Total climbing height, number of intermediate rest platforms (required every 6 m) and the top landing level. Heights are custom — nothing is standard.
Quantity
Units or total linear meters. There is no hard MOQ — but orders under 50 linear meters may carry a small batch surcharge, while 100+ linear meters unlock preferred pricing.
Material
Q235B hot-rolled steel (≈ ASTM A36), Q345B heavy-duty (≈ A572 Gr.50), SS304 or SS316 stainless. Each grade has a different price line — specify it up front.
Surface Treatment
Hot-dip galvanizing (ISO 1461, 85–100 μm) for outdoor/industrial, two-coat painting (zinc-rich primer + polyurethane, RAL optional) for indoor, or pickled & passivated stainless.
Destination Port
The destination port drives the freight line of your quote: Southeast Asia 7–14 days, Middle East/South Asia 15–25, Europe 25–35, Americas 25–40, Oceania 15–25.
Standard & Certification
OSHA 1910.27 + ANSI A14.3 (USA), BS 4211 (UK), EN ISO 14122-4 (EU), AS 1657 (Australia) or SS 553 (Singapore). The order-level Declaration of Conformity cites the standard you choose.
Installation Conditions
Wall or structure type (concrete, steel, brick), fixing method (M12 anchor bolts, standoff brackets at 1,800 mm), and whether a safety cage, walk-through top or swing gate is needed.
Drawings
Send whatever you have — CAD, PDF, hand sketch or photos. Our design team produces the formal drawing within 1–2 days, free, for your approval before production.
How to Read an Itemized Fixed Ladder Quote
Every Dengtai quote is broken down line by line — material, machining, surface treatment, packaging and freight. If a supplier gives you one flat number with no breakdown, you cannot compare it, and you cannot audit it.
| Quote Line | What It Covers | What to Check |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Side stiles, rungs, cage hoops, brackets — actual steel grade and weight | Grade stated (Q235B / Q345B / SS304 / SS316) and reference weight |
| Machining | Cutting, drilling, punching, welding and assembly | Rung pitch (Φ20 mm @ 280 mm), weld standard ISO 5817 Level C |
| Surface treatment | HDG per ISO 1461 (85–100 μm) or paint system | Coating thickness and standard named, not just "galvanized" |
| Packaging | VCI rust protection + vacuum wrap + ISPM 15 fumigated pallet/crate | Export-grade packaging included, not an afterthought |
| Freight | Sea freight to your destination port (FOB/CIF basis) | Incoterm stated — EXW, FOB or CIF — and quoted port |
5 Documents That Ship Free With Every Order
A fixed ladder is a permanent, load-bearing structure — your safety file should prove it. Every Dengtai order ships with a complete documentation pack at no extra cost. QC records are retained for 10+ years.
Declaration of Conformity (DoC)
Order-level DoC per ISO 17050-1, citing the applicable standard — OSHA 1910.27, BS 4211, EN ISO 14122-4, AS 1657 or SS 553 — with your order number and project.
Mill Test Certificate (MTC 3.1)
EN 10204 Type 3.1 material certificates from the certified steel mill — chemical composition and mechanical properties, traceable to the original mill certificate number.
Structural Calculation Report
Engineer-signed calculation per ISO 14122-4 — rung point load 1.50 kN, rail load 0.50 kN/m, wind load 0.60 kN/m² — with exact steel weight for your configuration.
Weld Inspection Records
100% visual inspection per ISO 5817 Level C plus random dye-penetrant testing on ≥10% of welds, with welder certificates per ISO 9606-1 and WPQR per ISO 15614-1.
HDG Coating Report
Coating thickness measurements per ISO 1461 (local ≥85 μm, average ≥100 μm) from the certified galvanizing plant, plus the dimension verification report and packing list.
Third-Party Inspection
Need independent verification? SGS, TÜV or BV inspections before shipment are welcome — the factory arranges access, the inspection cost is quoted separately, and a factory audit is accepted too.

- Certificate of origin available on request for preferential duty rates
Packaging Standard
VCI anti-rust film → vacuum wrap → PE corner guards → steel strapping → ISPM 15 fumigated pallet/crate, with a shipping mark per pallet (project, PO, gross/net weight). Stainless orders get desiccant-sealed crates.
Receiving Your Ladder: 5-Point Arrival Checklist
Take 20 minutes at the dock or site before signing the delivery note. These five checks protect your project — and your warranty claim if anything is wrong.
Count & match
Check pallets and pieces against the packing list and PO — quantities, lengths and cage sections.
Visual damage
Look for bending, dents or torn packaging from handling. Photograph anything suspicious before unloading.
Coating check
HDG should be uniform grey, free of bare patches. Scratches down to bare steel must be touched up before installation.
Spot dimensions
Sample-check rung pitch (Φ20 mm @ 280 mm), stile spacing and bracket positions against the approved drawing.
Document pack
Verify DoC, MTC 3.1, structural calcs, weld records, HDG report and packing list are all present and match the order.
